Atlas Shipyard operating in KOSBAŞ launched the icebreaker type shallow water support ship Polus, built for Russian Ark Shipping and Adamant LLC, with a ceremony.

Atlas Shipyard, one of the important companies in (KOSBAŞ), launched the icebreaker type modern shallow water support vessel Polus with a ceremony. The ship ordered by Rus Ark Shipping and Adamant LLC to Atlas Shipyard to serve especially in the Caspian Sea region; It stands out with its length of 73.3 meters and a width of 16.9 meters.
Polus, an offshore support ship; It has 3 main engine icebreakers with 1740 kW power. To the ship launching ceremony held in KOSBAŞ; Atlas Shipyard Chairman of the Board Enver Murat Başbay, Ark Shipping Chairman of the Board Nikolay Socin, Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and Kocaeli Port President Murat Akpınar and sector representatives attended. Speaking at the ceremony, Atlas Shipyard Chairman Enver Murat Başbay said that the shipyard has a high capacity utilization and that they welcome the ever increasing new construction demands. After the speeches, Polus was ceremonially launched into the water.
